Domaine De Boisseyt

AN IMPORTANT NAME FROM THE RHÔNE FOR 2 CENTURIES
With 11 hectares of vines in the heart of the Rhône, Domaine De Boisseyt is the oldest wine domaine in Chavanay. Founded during the French Revolution in 1797, De Boisseyt has seen 6 generations of wine producers come and go. Today, Romain Decelle runs the domaine. Originating from hillsides overlooking the majestic Rhône River, the De Boisseyt wines have earned their place among the greatest Northern Rhône Crus. The vineyards are planted on narrow terraces built into steep hillsides with vertiginous slopes. This rugged landscape is a real challenge for the winegrowers. The slopes of the Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu and Saint-Joseph terroirs can have gradients of up to 50% and are intersected by low dry stone walls known as “chaillées”, which help to reduce erosion. Certified HVE 3 and certified organic from the 2024 harvest.
