Every day is a new challenge, some more difficult than others, but as time goes by, I have come to realise that being a wine producer is the best job in the world! I like to think of myself as a “young old” wine producer, young in the profession because I set up in 2007 when I created a vineyard from scratch, and a little old in terms of age, because yes, I’m well into my fifties! After more than 20 years in the IT industry, I decided to pivot into the wine industry at the tender age of 40! In 2011, my wife Nathalie, a nurse by profession, joined me on this fabulous adventure. Together, we have developed our business over nearly 12 hectares, spread across the Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu and Saint-Joseph AOCs as well as the hillsides on the left bank of the Rhône, in Seyssuel, where we planted our first Viognier and Syrah vines. At the start of 2023, we were joined by our son Baptiste, who, with his wealth of experience obtained in various wine regions in France and abroad (Australia in particular), will provide our vineyards with fresh impetus.
